UCF Control Chart on The Post Certification Maintenance Rate Discussion
Question Description
I did my control chart on the post certification retention rate. My variable is the average retention rate of each group of test takers each year after the exam. To keep the consistency of our studies I also recorded the retention of 12 groups of 15. Of course I was thinking about either changing the sample population to a larger test size. For my 1st year variable I set the X value or the percent of knowledge retained equal to a random generated number between 60 and 100. For my 2nd year variable I set the X value between 50 and 90, and for the 3rd year I set the random value from 30 and 80 percent. All of the distributions generated were in control, but when the values changed sometimes they were slightly out of control, should not be an issue because we know that the numbers are generated randomly.
