Write a five-paragraph essay making an argument about some event in world history from the 19th century. Examples and instructions are on the attached document.

Your essay must:

1) Use information from a reliable outside source other than your textbook. (Your textbook may also be used, but it can’t be your only source.)

2) Include internal, parenthetical citations in APA, MLA, or Turabian format.

3) Include a References or Works Cited page.

4) Be double spaced and saved and uploaded as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx formats).

Although history uses Turabian, I don’t care what format you use as long as it is consistent and cites your sources. You must cite paraphrases and summaries, not only direct quotes.

The second video provides specific information for Turabian format. In brief, Turabian’s internal citations include the author’s last name, the year of publication, and the page number. They look something like this:
