American Intercontinental University Mental Illness and Juvenile Offenders Paper

I’m working on a Psychology exercise and need support.

What Just Happened?

As a professional practitioner versed in various forms of terrorism, your expertise in behavioral characterization of offenders, as well as threat management, could be the difference between the execution of a threat or its demise. Teams of professional practitioners have collated numerous facts about each act of terrorism, and this information has been paramount in preventing future attacks.

For this Assignment, you will provide an overview of a major terrorism case. The purpose of the exercise is to identify the salient factors within the case frequently seen in other acts of terrorism both domestic and international.

Scenario: You have been asked to brief your management on a historical terrorism event. Your audience also consists of 20 terrorism supervisors within the federal system.

To prepare for this Assignment:

Review the Learning Resources.

Choose an act of either domestic or international terrorism from the headlines.

If an acceptable headline cannot be found, choose from the following historical cases:

9/11 terrorist attack on the United States (2001)

Beslan school attack in Russia (2004)

Westgate shopping mall attack in Kenya (2013)

Research that act of terrorism, familiarizing yourself with any details about the offenders, the planning process, and opportunities for intervention.

Recommend opportunities where intervention could have prevented the terrorist attack.

By Day 7

Create a 10- to 15-slide PowerPoint presentation.

Slides should include the following information:

A description of the terrorist event, including:

An explanation of precipitating events

A description of the offenders involved

An analysis of the opportunities for intervention
