A- From a consumer’s perspective, the web is convenient and eases shopping. Instead of walking around a big shopping mall, you can browse through a much greater volume of stores just by sitting at your couch. It is easy to browse products and compare prices between brands. Shopping online can be cheaper because manufacturers can directly ship their items to your house instead of sending it to a retailer first. Shopping online is limited by the incapability of trying out the actual product since you can’t physically touch, it may be fake. This is the biggest problem when you are buying things that need to fit your body, like shoes, clothes, and gloves. Shipping problems can often delay your product or completely ship your product to the wrong address or even get damaged when being shipped. Returning the product is also hectic because you need to mail things back and fill out forms.
From a retailer’s perspective , the advantages of having a website are that you don’t have to spend a lot of money on acquiring a store, paying rent, and hiring many personnel. With a website, a retailer can track user behavior and target different customers with specific products that they might like. A website has an unlimited customer base, unlike a store. However, online business is highly competitive and more intense. Customers can quickly compare prices and buy from other cheaper websites. The website must be updated regularly with new products hence the need for qualified personnel if the retailer is not capable. Online purchases must be done with a credit card or online paying system. Lastly, since customers can not physically try out your products, they might only use your site as a reference and never really buy anything from your site.

Users can effortlessly shift from one site to another site by going to the right part on the screen & clicking the mouse button. Furthermore, people can also view pictures, words, and videos which can turn their laptop into multimedia centers.
From a retailer’s perspective, the advantages of the Web include easy access to the market. In many ways, access to the market for entrepreneurs has never been easier. Another advantage is reduced overheads, selling online can remove the need for expensive retail buildings. Last but not least another advantage is the potential for rapid growth. However, some disadvantages include website costs, infrastructure costs, and security & fraud
