MILESTONE ONE Instructions

In Module One you reviewed your final project materials. Now it is time to start drafting work on your final project, your network recommendations, by completing final project Milestone One. In this milestone, you will compose Part I and Part II of the final project.

Part I of the project is an introduction that identifies the key considerations involved in the network recommendations. It should also identify the location you have chosen to investigate and any potential restraints.

Part II of the project examines local area network (LAN) topologies. It includes identifying and comparing LAN topologies and recommending a topology to allow for optimal support packages.

These include troubleshooting, as you will see in this assignment. Getting to the root cause of an issue is one of the most important tasks for a network professional, and you are about to take it on.

While this assignment makes use of the same company as the final project scenario, it is not a final project milestone. It is, however, an opportunity to try out your emerging knowledge in a practical manner that directly prepares you for working with networks.
