Valley Water of Santa Clara County has developed a plan to meet the growing population demands of California as well as the challenges of increased periods of drought resulting from climate change. You work for the Valley Water. You have been asked to write a memo to the City of San Jose Urban Development Agency SJUDA in which you explain the Water District’s plans to meet the upcoming water challenges in the next decade. The SJUDA has asked your agency for information regarding water availability so that they can begin to plan for upcoming expansion in the following decade. Your boss, Jenny Coleman, has asked you to write the memo for her, but she would like to approve it before it is sent. She wants you to address ONE (or more) of the following:
1) The assurance of aquifer water availability through Stormwater (rainwater) Recapture for Aquifer Recharge
2) Suggestions for improved water conservation practices and regulations for sustainable outdoor and landscaping water practices for residents of Santa Clara County.
3) Less Agricultural water demand from San Luis Reservoir through improved AG Irrigation and Water Usage in California.
4) Development of Investment Strategies
5) Water efficient fixture
6) Possible personal actions that can be taken to change “bad” habits
REQUIREMENTS:
In the memo give a clear thesis in the introduction paragraph explaining your topic and two or three areas of discussion. In the body of the memo use clear headings that further discuss these areas. In your conclusion make a note to your boss asking if she would like any additions or changes to be made.
