I have already started a research paper about Nan Madol, use this and continue finding more information and making sure some of these questions are answered. Were the rock structures and canals between them defensive, e.g. against other peoples? The ocean? Who or what? Is it known what was built by the Saudeleurs and what by their conquerors? Are structures on Nan Madol unique to that island or is similar construction found elsewhere in Micronesia?As you move forward, what do you see for the future?
