a. Choose either Harold S. Bender, Anabaptist Vision, Mennonite QuarterlyReview 18 (1944): 67-88,or Werner O. Packull, The Origins of Swiss Anabaptism in the Context of the Reformation of the Common Man, Journal of Mennonite Studies 3 (1985): 36-59.

b. Review the article. In the review students should do the following: i.Identify the main argument or thesis of the article;

ii. Describe at least three ways in which the author tries to make (i.e. , prove) the argument;

iii. Evaluate the article; i.e. , was it convincing?

c .Come to the special Discussion Class prepared to debate which of the two approaches makes more sense.

d. The article review must be submitted through Nexus by the beginning of the Discussion Class.

e. The article review should be at least three pages, 700-1000 words, in length.
