One of the questions that Christians constantly must respond to is if God is good, then why do bad things happen? As we have read in this course though, Christians have a response to evil, and at the very least, Christians have an understanding of what evil is and why it exists.
The purpose of this discussion is for you to articulate how evil is an issue for all worldviews. Begin by considering a current example of the presence of evil in the world. Then, respond to the following questions:
- In what ways is the presence of evil in the world a problem for an atheist? How might they respond to your example of evil?
- For a pantheist?
- For an agnostic?
- For a Christian?
Incorporate at least 3 references from the reading assignments, class materials, and personal observations into your responses. Be sure to properly source and cite all references. You must use at least two sources, one of which should be your reading assignments.
